Medmenham Association Aims

Medmenham Association Aims & Membership

The aims of the Association are to keep serving and retired PIs/IAs - and those who have worked closely with the profession over the years - in touch; to encourage excellence in the field of imagery intelligence, and to promote the achievements of the profession. The Association holds an annual reunion and general meeting, which usually includes a lunch, a guest speaker and the award of the Medmenham Trophy to an outstanding IA professional. The Social Secretary also arranges bi-annual visits, events, lunches or dinners. Members, partners and friends are welcome to attend all Association functions.

Membership of the Association is open to all serving and retired photographic interpreters and imagery analysts of all ranks and from all branches of the Armed Services, the Voluntary Reserve and the Civil Service. Associate membership is also available to applicants who have worked in a supporting role or had a close working association with the PI/IA profession. Association membership stands at well over 300 active members.

Data Protection Act: The Medmenham Association uses computer systems to record members' details. Under the Data Protection Act 2018, and the General Data Protection Regulations 2018, it is necessary that you should know this and that the information will only be used by the Association Officers to conduct the Association's business. Your postal address will only be supplied to our printers to send you newsletters and a membership card. We will email you occasionally to inform you of forthcoming events and other items of interest to members. If you do not wish to receive such emails, or if you have any query or concerns about the data held, please contact the Honorary Membership Secretary.

The annual subscription is currently £15.00 (£20.00 for overseas members). For this members receive an illustrated bi-annual magazine that contains details of Association events, news of members, historical reminiscences and articles of general interest. An exclusive Association tie, ladies scarf, shield, lapel badge and other items are available for purchase.

Further information for those who may be interested in joining the Medmenham Association can be obtained by emailing The Honorary Secretary or The Honorary Membership Secretary.

If you have decided to apply for membership you should fill out the on-line Membership Application Form. All applications will be considered by the Committee. You will be contacted by the Membership Secretary (normally within one week) informing you if your membership application has been accepted and asking for payment of your annual subscription.
